Steven Scott was recently reviewed in "The Artful Vagabond" an art blog published 365 days a year by Serena Kovaloski. Serena is a writer and freelance curator, creating art exhibitions and events that celebrate artists and their deep connection to the world around them.
She writes, "I came across a video of the evolution of Steven Scott’s art, and was fascinated to discover how his earlier work began in detailed realism, and how his style loosened up towards abstraction as he progressed, gaining trust in the organic process through what is known as “process painting”. As he distanced himself from realism, he began to push boundaries and found himself exploring the concept of 'What makes a face, a face?' in abstraction. Artwork such as this will engage both sides of the brain in conversation, opening up the viewer to a wealth of alternative perceptions."
